General Rules

1. To join the VPA you must register first. Go to the 'Login' page and press 'new member'. Once you are registered you MUST go to 'View/Register Prefix' page and register at least 1 prefix to get started. Prefix registration is instant so there is no wait on them. Once your Prefix has been accepted you may register a new pet, but NOT until you register a prefix. When your new pet is accepted you may enter our shows so that your pet can earn its Championship title, and then its Grand Championship title. You can even enter into CGC and Obedience shows.

2. You are allowed 1 personal account with up to 5 prefixes. If you have a joint kennel with 1 or more people then you are allowed to make a joint account, this is where you may register your prefix for the joint kennel. You may have as many joint accounts as you like, but DO NOT abuse this or we will take it away. Be sure that if you do register a joint account that your partners in the kennel know the password and the username so they can login. If they don't we have the right to believe it is a second personal account and delete it without notice.

3. Respect your fellow memebers! We want VPA to be a place where everybody can come and have fun with their petz. We don't want to have to worry about rivals coming in to try and declare themselves the best at the breedz that they show or anything like that. We are here to provide you, the petz fans with a place to show your catz and dogz.

4. Keep the swearing out of VPA. We DO NOT allow curse words of any kind in any part of VPA.

5. We can't stress enough that this place is for you to have fun!!

6. Guides are here to prevent you from breaking the rules. They are not controlling. If you repeatedly break our rules after you've been given warnings then the Guides have full rights to pass you over to the owners (Nimh & Providence), who reserve the right to ban any member who chooses to not follow the rules. Banning includes getting your account and all of your petz deleted. Also, your IP address will be blocked, that way you won't be able to come back as a new person.

7. We would prefer that anybody who registers here at VPA be at least 14 years old. We do want to have maturity present but if you are younger than 14 and you join, and you act even younger than your age then we have the right to ban you until you are of age.

8. We do not tolerate cheats of any kind. Using someone elses dogz show poses in shows will result in an automatic ban from VPA. If you have more than 1 personal account we have the right to ban you and close both your accounts. Editing pictures in any way except to merge for events that call for that isn't allowed at all! So, unless you are entering Canine Good Citizen (CGC), obedience (OD) or any other event that is NOT Conformation your pictures better not be edited.

What it means to be a Purple Ribbon Pet

You may have wondered around the site and seen some petz with 'PR' at the beginning of their names or seen 'Purple Ribbon' on a petz' pedigree and wondered, "what does that mean?"

Purple Ribbon, abbreviation 'PR', is a small recognition of that breeder's efforts in breeding. For a pet to get the 'PR' in front of it's name the pet must have a complete 3 generation pedigree of registered petz behind it, meaning all 14 of that petz' ancestors within the first 3 generations of a pedigree must be registered with the VPA.

This is a title not every pet can obtain as it is given at registration based on pedigree information within our records.
